Christmas at Múlaberg Bistro & Bar and Hótel Kea

Our restaurant Múlaberg Bistro & Bar is open every day during the holidays and offers a special holiday menu for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year's Eve. As many restaurants close during the holidays it is necessary to book in advance to secure a table. Following are information about our opening hours along with our holiday menus. 

Breakfast at Hotel Kea will be served every day as usual between 07:00 - 10:00. Guests that are not staying at the hotel can buy breakfast for 2.300,-isk per person.

Christmas Eve - December 24th

Two Course Menu 7.200,- ISK / Three Course Menu 9.500,- ISK. / Four Course Menu - 11.600,- ISK

Lobster soup
Lobster bisque, Sautéed lobster and white chocolate cream

Trout
Slow cooked cured trout, lemon mayo, cucumber, apples, trout rows and dulse.

Lamb
Fillet of lamb, bacon, dates, mushrooms, potato terrine and Madeira sauce

Dessert
Vanilla créme brûlée

 

 

Christmas Day - December 26th

Two Course Menu 7.400,- ISK / Three Course Menu 9.700,- ISK // Four Course Menu 11.800,- ISK

King crab
King crab, brioche and horseradish remoulade 

Salmon
Beetroot cured salmon tartare with pickled cucumber, herbs and mustard sauce

Beef Wellington
Beef Wellington, spinach, „Pommes Anna‟, celeriac purée and red wine sauce

Dessert
Blueberries, chocolate, frangipane

 

 

New Year's Eve - December 31st

Cured goose and duck confit, rhubarb salad and fig purée

Soup
Jerusalem artichoke and truffle soup, langoustine, lychee gel and potato chips
