Jamie's Italian at Hotel Borg

Jamie's Italian has opened up its doors in the renovated premises of the ground floor at Hotel Borg. The restaurant, which is a part of the Italian inspired Jamie Oliver restaurant chain, is the first of its kind to open up in Iceland, following more than sixty Jamie's Italian restaurants all over the world.

Founded by Jamie Oliver and his Italian born mentor Gennaro Contaldo, the first Jamie's Italian was opened up in Oxford in 2008. Jamie's vision was to bring the passion and love that Italians have for food and family dinners into the restaurant, and serve traditionally styled rustic dishes in an atmosphere inspired by the „Italian table“, where people can relax, share and enjoy each other's company.

Set in the well-known Golden Hall (Gyllti Salurinn) at Hotel Borg, the Reykjavík based restaurant is designed to give tribute both to the homely values of the Jamie's Italian concept and the building's grand history. Rustic colours with a splash of turquoise, rich textures, original flooring and the iconic ceiling mural create an atmosphere pleasing for the eye.

All dishes are made from fresh ingredients sourced from producers, both local and international, that share Jamie's ethos and passion for great food. The menu has selections of antipasti and nibbles, perfect for sharing, as well as comforting bowls of pasta, beautiful fresh salads and grills.

Keahotels celebrates the opening of Jamie's Italian at the respected Hotel Borg, a welcome addition to the culinary scene in Reykjavík.
