First class golf course

The golf course at Siglufjörður is located in the beautiful landscape of Norðurland and offers a peaceful retreat for experienced golfers and amateurs alike. The course is designed by the architect Edwin Roald Rögnvaldsson, who, among other things, has won awards for amazing golf course design. Surrounded by towering mountains and the soothing embrace of the fjord, this hidden gem provides a unique golfing experience that is exhilarating yet challenging.

The course charms everyone who visits it, as it offers unique beauty and tranquility in the background of Iceland's stunning nature. It consists of nine holes and is a fun mix of all kinds of challenges. The green on the course is carefully treated by the Akureyri Golf Club and blends seamlessly into the surrounding wilderness so that the sport and nature become one.

Environmental protection

The golf course was put into use in 2018 and great emphasis was placed on environmental protection during its construction. It is built on a former gravel mining site that had long left an ugly impression on the environment. The course not only restores the beauty of the land, but construction was also made to preserve the rivers in the area. The gravel quarry had disturbed the area so that there was little or no fish anymore in the rivers.

No equipment, no problem!

All equipment can be rented on site, allowing you to travel light. Enjoy a seamless experience and maximize your time on the course!
